The 54th Annual Grammy Awards aired last night and we can’t say we were shocked with the winners. Over 40 million viewers tuned in which gave the show the highest ratings since 1984. People believe they received these ratings because of Adele and Whitney Houston’s recent death. However, we would like to think it was because of the amazing music! Triad DJ and Events, like the Grammy’s know music very well. We both know good music when we hear it! Adele went home with six Grammy’s last night tying Beyoncé for the most awards won by a female artist in one night.
Amazing Adele won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for 21, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Short Form Music Video for “Rolling In The Deep,” and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Someone Like You.” Although Adele had a beautiful performance last night, especially since this was her first live performance since her vocal cord surgery, we think her show was nothing compared to Jennifer Hudson’s tribute to Whitney Houston.
Below is a link Jennifer Hudson’s rendition of “I will Always Love You” originally sung by former pop sensation, Whitney Houston.

Also, let Triad DJ and Events know what you thought of the famous awards show! Was Nicki too over the top? Were you just as disappointed with Taylor Swift’s performance and Fergie’s dress choice as we were?
